[00:00:05] Speaker A: Hey, give me my canned schmoop. [00:00:08] Speaker B: You know the favorite things about you that I like? My. One of my favorite things I love about you. [00:00:14] Speaker A: I know the list is long. [00:00:16] Speaker B: It's long for you too, isn't it? [00:00:19] Speaker A: Don't change the subject. What were you gonna say? [00:00:22] Speaker B: Every time you open a can, it fascinates me. You instantly turn the tab. Like you. It's. You don't even think about it. It's fascinating. Where's that come from? [00:00:33] Speaker A: Started at university, also known as college in the United States. And when there's 17 to 35 kids drinking beers scattered around the room and you never know, you're talking to people, blah, blah, you're doing this, you're doing that. You set down a beer and then you're like, where the hell's my beer? So there could be 17 beers, and. [00:00:50] Speaker B: You just immediately look for the side tab. [00:00:54] Speaker A: Look for the tab that's turned sideways and it became habitual second nature, probably within three months. And it's been that way for decades. Where I open, it goes. And then immediately it turned left without. [00:01:08] Speaker B: Even thinking decades, or perhaps decades or perhaps a half a century. [00:01:13] Speaker A: Settle down. [00:01:16] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:01:17] Speaker A: Half a century? Fuck. Well, I mean, I'm not even. You think I was in university a half a century ago. That's. That's crazy. Do I look like I'm 30 years older than I really am? [00:01:28] Speaker B: Anyway, what I've noticed is it's so ingrained in you. [00:01:32] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:01:32] Speaker B: That you don't even. You. I've watched you open a can. [00:01:36] Speaker A: It's. [00:01:36] Speaker B: It's just. It's fascinating. [00:01:38] Speaker A: It happens immediately, though, is that I've. [00:01:40] Speaker B: Noticed there's a few people that actually do it, too. [00:01:42] Speaker A: Really? [00:01:42] Speaker B: Yeah. You're not the only one. [00:01:43] Speaker A: Lucky bastards. [00:01:44] Speaker B: You have not been the only one to do this. [00:01:47] Speaker A: I know that. Before we got. Sorry. It says live. This is dv. This is for the visually. Visually impaired. The. [00:01:56] Speaker B: Okay, yeah. [00:01:56] Speaker A: Visually impaired. They get to hear the can. Oh, fabulous. So you wanted to talk about scuba diving. [00:02:04] Speaker B: I did. [00:02:05] Speaker A: And this is not a. What do you call a metaphor for going down. [00:02:11] Speaker B: No, it's not. We're actually talking about real scuba diving. You know, that I started. I tried to scuba dive at 18. My brother was a dive master. He took me in my uncle's pool, and I totally had a panic attack. And I was so claustrophobic, I couldn't do. Took me a long time. [00:02:29] Speaker A: Funny you say that. I wasn't a good snorkeler. [00:02:34] Speaker B: Oh, no, no. [00:02:35] Speaker A: I was bad. It's. Couldn't Deal with the snorkeling. I hadn't done a lot of it. I was in Australia. Not sun. Not the Gold coast either, by the way. Like, the. The reef. This was like Victoria. [00:02:47] Speaker B: Oh, wow. [00:02:48] Speaker A: Real ocean. Not a swimming pool. Heavy current. And we started in a pool, and I had a little struggle the first little bit. Ten minutes with the snorkel and the breathing and the mask and everything. But it was kind of pure pressure. I was like, suck it up, buttercup. Because I was with four Australian buddies who I worked with. Yeah, well, you're. [00:03:08] Speaker B: You're getting going or you're not. [00:03:09] Speaker A: You're not going to be a. [00:03:10] Speaker B: Is that the story of your life? [00:03:12] Speaker A: Yeah, you just do it. [00:03:14] Speaker B: Isn't that how you kind of Mount Kilimanjo? [00:03:17] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm going to the top. I don't care what you guys are doing. [00:03:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:21] Speaker A: But anyway, so. Yeah, and then we ended up getting our Patty tickets, and then we ended up getting our advanced tickets and did night dives and deep dives, and it was pretty funky. And I don't. [00:03:33] Speaker B: You did all that in Australia? [00:03:35] Speaker A: Yeah, and I know people that are. I want to go back to scuba diving. [00:03:39] Speaker B: Let's go scuba. Let's go. [00:03:41] Speaker A: Seriously, be great here, right here. [00:03:43] Speaker B: It's cold. [00:03:44] Speaker A: Yeah, but you wear a 9 mil. [00:03:45] Speaker B: I don't want to wear a wetsuit. I only. I've only been scuba diving in my bikini, which I really, really enjoy. [00:03:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:50] Speaker B: So I've done Belize, I've done Bali, I've done Mexico. [00:03:56] Speaker A: I think I've only scuba dove. Dive. Dove in a wetsuit. And really? [00:04:03] Speaker B: Oh, it's next level. [00:04:04] Speaker A: It's not bad at all. [00:04:05] Speaker B: Sure. But it's next level when you're just. When you're in your bikini. [00:04:08] Speaker A: Well, I'm not, but I've. [00:04:11] Speaker B: Okay. Sorry. [00:04:12] Speaker A: I've snorkeled in on natural all the time. Like, a ton of times. [00:04:15] Speaker B: Oh, of course. That's interesting that you couldn't snorkel, but then you could dive, and I was the antithesis of that. I could snorkel till the cows came home. Baby snorkeling all the time. Panic attack in the pool. Couldn't scuba dive. Snorkeled, snorkeled. Then finally, in Belize, I found a dive master who decided to hold my hand. And then I went on about 10 dives. [00:04:39] Speaker A: Nice. [00:04:40] Speaker B: I did the Blue Hole. [00:04:41] Speaker A: The Blue Hole. [00:04:42] Speaker B: Jacques Cousteau. [00:04:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Snorkeling quickly stopped being an issue once I continued into the class and into the dives and all that. [00:04:49] Speaker B: So you finally made it through. [00:04:51] Speaker A: You know, I. I was in Turks and Caicos once. Didn't dive there, but I was by. On Grand Turk, by the wall. The famous wall. It drops thousands of feet. Didn't do it. [00:05:00] Speaker B: Got to go. Bye.
