[00:00:04] Speaker A: Shmoopy. Did you just burp? [00:00:06] Speaker B: I did just burp. [00:00:07] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Let's talk about Caesars. [00:00:10] Speaker B: Caesars, AKA Bloody Marys. [00:00:12] Speaker A: Oh, right. For the people around the world. Yeah. [00:00:18] Speaker B: We just had two. What was the secret ingredient? [00:00:20] Speaker A: Secret ingredient? Jalapeno Vodka. O m. G. Can we put a little shout out to Tofino distillery? [00:00:28] Speaker B: Sure, let's do that. British Columbia. [00:00:30] Speaker A: British Columbia. In Tofino, Vancouver Island. [00:00:34] Speaker B: You rimmed the glass. [00:00:35] Speaker A: I did. With Montreal Steak Spice. [00:00:37] Speaker B: Wow. All right. Best. Best. [00:00:41] Speaker A: Can we. Can we talk about the Caesar that I had at my little local pub? [00:00:45] Speaker B: Sure. [00:00:46] Speaker A: Which is. [00:00:48] Speaker B: Which local pub? Where? Here or just up the street Gig. [00:00:52] Speaker A: Oh, oh, just up the street they serve chicken. A whole chicken. [00:00:57] Speaker B: What? [00:00:58] Speaker A: Yep. You have this big, huge, massive Caesar that, of course, you know, satisfies three people and a whole roast chicken. And then there's stuff sticking out. I know. It's ridiculous. [00:01:10] Speaker B: Is the chicken sitting on top of the glass? [00:01:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:01:12] Speaker B: Come on. [00:01:13] Speaker A: Oh, it's so fucking good. It is. I think there's a couple of brownies sticking out from one side. So it's full meal deal. 60 bucks, I think. 60. [00:01:22] Speaker B: 60 bucks. A Caesar with a chicken on top. [00:01:25] Speaker A: Yeah, but it's almost like you're getting a bucket of Caesars and a chicken and dessert. [00:01:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:32] Speaker A: Okay. Favorite Caesar. Oh, I'm a big fan also of Gin Caesars. Gin Caesars and Tequila Caesars. [00:01:38] Speaker B: Tequila Caesars. I. In history, I used to have Caesars at this place called the Tavern on Nantucket, which was right on Straight wharf. Tavern is still there. Obviously, the bartender changed 40, 30 years ago, but it's great. Just a great place to have one in the morning. And it's outdoors. Ish. Mostly. And, yeah, actually, you always used to sit outside in this, like, gazebo, so that was always good because probably we're hungover a lot on Nantucket, probably six days a week. [00:02:16] Speaker A: Of course. What's the best part of a Caesar for you? [00:02:21] Speaker B: The melt, like, the booze and everything gets down to the bottom quarter of the glass, and you have that. That kind of the ice melt with everything together. The ingredients comes together in that little pool at the bottom. That last quarter of the Caesar or Bloody Mary is the best back. The Tavern would have been Bloody Mary's, by the way. [00:02:39] Speaker A: Not Caesar's, of course. [00:02:41] Speaker B: And then. [00:02:41] Speaker A: Walters, have you had Walters? [00:02:43] Speaker B: No. [00:02:43] Speaker A: Omg. Best, like, Bloody Mary mix ever in the world. Very expensive, but delicious. [00:02:48] Speaker B: Walters. [00:02:49] Speaker A: Yep. Comes in a bo Bottle. A glass bottle. [00:02:52] Speaker B: Another favorite was in New York City in the Village. Yeah. Actually, no. In Soho, on McDougal Street. [00:03:00] Speaker A: I like that you name this. [00:03:01] Speaker B: I can't remember the name of the place, but it's gone, so it doesn't really matter. But it was on McDougal and they used to serve oysters on the half shelf on top of your. [00:03:12] Speaker A: Oh, wait, I just remembered. There's a place in town here that does a Caesar cart. So they come to your. It's a huge cart. They come to your table and then they rim. How you want it? Do you want high end gin? Do you want tequila? Do you want vodka? What do you want pepperoni? Oh, do you want a big huge prawn? Like all the things. Do you want it dirty? Do you want, like, what do you want? It's insane, right? [00:03:39] Speaker B: So they come to the table. [00:03:40] Speaker A: They come to the table and make you a Caesar in front of your face. [00:03:43] Speaker B: I don't know if I. Every time. [00:03:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:49] Speaker A: But it's brunch, right? For brunch. For brunch. This is a Saturday, Sunday thing, you. [00:03:53] Speaker B: Know, that's what the McDougall street was. It was Sunday brunch. My favorite in Manhattan. [00:03:58] Speaker A: My favorite thing about a Caesar or Bloody Mary. What feels like a meal in a glass, sort of. [00:04:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:04:03] Speaker A: And it's just a little pet. It just. It preps you for a nap. [00:04:09] Speaker B: It fixes you. Great. Great. When there's a bean in it. [00:04:13] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:04:13] Speaker B: Or a celery. [00:04:15] Speaker A: Celery bean, yeah. What are your favorite equipment? [00:04:17] Speaker B: But I really like the oyster on the half shell in New York. But that's done. They've done that other places. [00:04:22] Speaker A: Yeah, they have. [00:04:23] Speaker B: In terms of like chain. I don't really eat much at chains, but back in Toronto you used to go to the keg on occasion and actually the good Caesar has pretty damn good Caesars. [00:04:38] Speaker A: Yeah, the keg Caesar, you can add a couple of ounces. [00:04:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. Dig the keg Caesar. That would be. [00:04:45] Speaker A: That would be your good spot. [00:04:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Bloody's or Caesars. Prefer Caesars a little bit over bloody. So into the clamado. But it's all good, baby. [00:04:55] Speaker A: It's delicious. I have a friend who travels with his Clamado. [00:04:58] Speaker B: Really? [00:04:58] Speaker A: Yeah, we went to Greece. [00:05:00] Speaker B: It's cool. We got to go. [00:05:02] Speaker A: We're not going to go. [00:05:03] Speaker B: Leaving. [00:05:04] Speaker A: But we're leaving. Bye.
