[00:00:04] Speaker A: Shmoopy. [00:00:05] Speaker B: Shmoopy. [00:00:06] Speaker A: Are we talking about skydiving? [00:00:08] Speaker B: Oh, my God. How about it? [00:00:10] Speaker A: Yeah. You want to talk about something exciting? Let's talk something exciting. [00:00:13] Speaker B: By the way, I just got an email from the Western Kaanapali. The Western Kaanapali. [00:00:19] Speaker A: Oh, are we going to. [00:00:20] Speaker B: Are we going? [00:00:21] Speaker A: Yeah, are we going? [00:00:22] Speaker B: Which is odd because my sky. I skydived in Hawaii. [00:00:26] Speaker A: There you go. Look at you. [00:00:27] Speaker B: And then I skydived out west in the mainland of the United States. Where did you skydive? In Canada, right? [00:00:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:00:33] Speaker B: Lower Maine. [00:00:33] Speaker A: Abbotsford. [00:00:34] Speaker B: Abbotsford, British Columbia. [00:00:36] Speaker A: Yeah. Skydive, Canada. Skydive. Vancouver. They rock. [00:00:39] Speaker B: How long ago? [00:00:41] Speaker A: Three years ago. [00:00:42] Speaker B: Well, that's not that long ago. [00:00:44] Speaker A: No, no, no, it's quite recent. What did you say? You said that. [00:00:47] Speaker B: Were you scared? [00:00:49] Speaker A: Terrified. [00:00:50] Speaker B: Were you? [00:00:51] Speaker A: Yeah, I've wanted to do it all my life. [00:00:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:00:54] Speaker A: I. I think there's been three tries. Where to go? Yeah. [00:01:00] Speaker B: And you bagged it? [00:01:01] Speaker A: No, didn't bag it. The weather didn't cooperate. [00:01:04] Speaker B: Oh, so that would be nerve wracking. Then you're like jacked up. Ready? [00:01:09] Speaker A: Yeah. No, and that. [00:01:10] Speaker B: So shut down. [00:01:11] Speaker A: So this was the fourth attempt and. And there might have been a few more attempts. And it was the most glorious day ever. You have ever witnessed in your life. Pure blue, not a cloud in the sky. Sunshine. October. And it had just been like a really rainy bout. And it was the first day of. It was gorgeous. I thought I was gonna die. I won't lie. I was the last out of the plane. If I hadn't been attached to the young man. Yeah, the young man. Adorable. He was adorable. I would not have gotten out of that plane. I would have gone back down with the plane. [00:01:50] Speaker B: Wow. [00:01:51] Speaker A: Yeah. That's how terrified I was. And I was really surprised that I was that terrified. [00:01:57] Speaker B: And to think you had a man on your back and he didn't have his penis in you. [00:02:02] Speaker A: I was waiting for you to fucking comment on that. I know. Isn't it surprising? [00:02:06] Speaker B: It is shocking. [00:02:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:08] Speaker B: Less than 1% of the population. Well, just say north. [00:02:11] Speaker A: Is that what it is? Those are the stats. [00:02:14] Speaker B: Has skydived. Have skydived. It is understandable. Of course, most people never even crossed their mind, let alone act on it. [00:02:24] Speaker A: No. And all the people that I've told about it, they're like, never in a million years, Right? [00:02:29] Speaker B: So unless someone is like in Oklahoma or somewhere else watching a James Bond movie, skydiving, they're not gonna be like, hey, you know what? Not to stare or Tap those in Oklahoma. [00:02:42] Speaker A: Don't stereotype. [00:02:43] Speaker B: I stereotype stereotypes. I jumped in Hawaii the first time. [00:02:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:48] Speaker B: North Shore. Talk about gorges over the mountain and on the shore. Like on the. Literally falling on the North Shore. And yeah, you're scared shitless. But to be honest with you, by the time the prep was over, like assuming, which we did, that they knew how to pack a chute, which they did. They've done it hundreds of times. [00:03:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:12] Speaker B: Once they kind of spelled it out like how it was all going to work. You're ready to go. Although we didn't even take a course. [00:03:20] Speaker A: I didn't even watch a video. Like, I was surprised. [00:03:23] Speaker B: I don't think so. We didn't watch a video either. It was more like a. Like a half hour. Just like talking us through all this shit. [00:03:29] Speaker A: Barely. Barely fucking did any of that, did you? Yeah. I was really surprised at how little I knew. [00:03:36] Speaker B: Really? [00:03:37] Speaker A: Yep. [00:03:38] Speaker B: One part that I just had to. [00:03:40] Speaker A: Keep my arms and legs out. [00:03:42] Speaker B: Yeah. Or tucked first out. [00:03:44] Speaker A: Yes, exactly. [00:03:46] Speaker B: The part that's shocking is when the door opens. [00:03:50] Speaker A: Omg. Yeah. [00:03:51] Speaker B: When the door opens and you look down. [00:03:54] Speaker A: I didn't look down. [00:03:56] Speaker B: Like, holy shiteled. [00:03:58] Speaker A: I closed my eyes. He dragged me to the landing of where we fell from. Because I couldn't. I was eyes closed, losing my mind. And I said to him, you're gonna have to carry me. You just lifted me. [00:04:16] Speaker B: Fortunately, I did mine for. I had multi. Multiple cameras. [00:04:19] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:20] Speaker B: And so there's a video of showing us coming out of the plane. Because there's a guy out on the wing already. [00:04:25] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:26] Speaker B: And then falling and did like a full flip. It goes. He goes, dude, you're a big man. He goes, you're gonna take me. You have to follow instructions. Or you're taking us for a ride. Because I'm gonna have no control over with. [00:04:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:38] Speaker B: So we barrel rolled a couple times or whatever and then we. I put my arms out. We. [00:04:43] Speaker A: But man, was your face slapping. [00:04:45] Speaker B: Oh, my face was totally full shock out the whole time. [00:04:49] Speaker A: I have never laughed, cried, and screamed so much at the same time. [00:04:55] Speaker B: And then when the chute opens, by the way, complete noise. Because you're falling 135 miles an hour and you're in. It's silence like a bird. [00:05:02] Speaker A: I know we gotta go.
